Pros

The programs are important for maintaining strong healthcare. Good benefits. Faculty and staff are good to work with - smart, friendly and committed

Cons

President Schuster is an extremely poor leader. He does not know how to communicate vision and inspire staff. When he doesn't get what he wants, he throws a tantrum and belittles people rather than looking for solutions to very real problems. His VPs and the Deans are all scared of him and no one is willing to stand up to him; he would not accept the reality anyway. The entire faculty is frustrated and a whole department quit before the school year because the school did not provide sufficient support to deliver. Those of us who are still here are constantly overworked; vacancies go unfilled in an effort to save the cost of salary. The focus is strictly on finances, and not on the quality of programs delivered to students. For $40,000 tuition, students deserve more than underpaid Adjuncts,

Pros

Fellow faculty and staff are great to work with. New president is moving the Institute in the right direction.

Cons

Everything in higher education today feels a bit precarious, but KGI is somewhat insulated as a small, health science focused institution.
