Keep America Beautiful has gone downhill and has no hope of coming back. With c-suit lack of respect for the “working” staff, many employees feel undervalued creating low morale and an unfulfilling workplace. If you ask many of the staff why they should donate to KAB, no one could provide you with an answer. Red Flags for a nonprofit. The organization preaches their core values but fails to follow any. Many staff have been open and honest when asked to provide feedback to new projects or company initiatives as encourage by the “courageous authenticity” value and in return have been punished or removed from projects for their differing opinions. The organization also values positive attitude and creative drive but when a creative idea is presented, many times it is shot down if it does not fit within their KAB Communities model. When attending staff meetings there is no small talk, only business, making hard to be comfortable around people who don’t take any interest in your life. Many of the previous positive comments come from a select group of people trying to defend the organization as they are probably new but don’t be fooled this is not somewhere where you will grow, have a creative outlook, or be valued. Calling staff hostile is extreme and unprofessional and should call for HR… but wait there is none!
