Pros

I’ve worked here for three years and the only pro was the discount on fine jewelry, which they have since removed.

Cons

Where to start. So many issues here. Corporate is horribly unorganized, blames every problem on the staff in the stores, and are so toxic, condescending and rude half the employees are scared to even function. The clientele is actually the worst, nobody comes in to buy anything they just bring you bags of tarnished jewelry and expect you to replace it because that was the company’s policy, but they don’t have a backbone and won’t stand up for it so these people continue to get to yell at the staff and get hundreds of dollars of jewelry replaced when that’s not what’s supposed to happen.

Pros

Decent work autonomy. Great for a person who wants something that gives back. I know the philanthropic element is also a tax write off but it does feel fulfilling to go to the events and give back. I could have seen myself here longer but the leader I worked under made it kind of difficult. There is room for real growth though and I liked that. Maybe one day I’ll go back?

Cons

Whether you enjoy your time here or not really depends on who your district manager and store manager are. My district manager was a bit challenging to read and didn’t really take initiative when there were issues within our store. It was sad because I saw more than one other person experience bullying from an events manager who came in from another store. I left because after I reported the bullying that I saw to my manager, she was silent about it and didn’t do anything. I didn’t feel like she had her teams best interest. That just doesn’t cut it when you’re leading people who count on you. It was sad overall. I learned that they rewarded this behavior by transferring this person to another store in the South with a promotion. It’s a disappointing situation. Glad i left this district but maybe it’s better in other districts.
