Pros

Some of the team were amazing

Cons

The remaining members of the team were vile vicious individuals who were only interested in their own gains Certain children got away with everything whilst others couldn’t do anything right. No consistency, no procedure's followed. safe guarding very questionable, if your face fitted you were part of the ‘gang’ if not you were treated terribly . Staff would do and say anything to get rid of people they didn’t want there. No consideration for the children’s needs

Pros

Helping support vulnerable children and enriching their lives.

Cons

Long hours, toxic management, expected to come in to work during days off for team meetings & “training” regularly. Management try to emotionally blackmail staff to pick up overtime and again are passive aggressive when you’re unable to. Incidents with the children are routine and staff welfare is non existent. Hours are extremely long and you will spend 48 hours in work (including a sleep in) which is often broken and disrupted. This was something that was not made aware to me during interview.

Pros

Good hourly rate and excellent colleagues.

Cons

No sick pay. Inexperienced and incapable management. Initially you will be sent to work in houses up to 2 hours away. Training is a bit hit and miss. A very stressful job.
