Pros

Very interesting and varied work. Lots of opportunities to try different parts of ecology and undergo training. The people at the company are great. all very nice and encouraging - both in the ecology team and other two teams (habitats and admin). Recent switch to being a real living wage employer.

Cons

Sometimes a lack of management/communication. Pay is fairly low for the amount of hours worked, the nature of the work and skill level required.

Thank you for reaching out to submit a review ! We're glad you’re enjoying the varied work, supportive team, and training opportunities at Keystone. We also value your feedback on communication and pay; these are areas we're actively working on in various ways, and your input helps us improve further. Great to hear our move to be a Living Wage employer has been recognised too.

Pros

Rewarding work with a team that is dedicated and well trained. Working culture is good with the right level of support provided by senior management. Autonomy for managers (within reason) is excellent and it allows Keystone to be agile in terms of winning projects and delivering them. It does not feel overly corporate which is increasingly rare in most workplaces - Junior staff and managers regularly interact with senior management and challenge and feedback are welcomed and supported. Clear roles and responsibilities - There is a dedicated admin team that supports on all of the processes required for the business to operate smoothly. This is underrated in many current businesses. There is a strong established team structure which ensures that individuals are able to meet the expectations of their role.

Cons

Sometimes capacity gets stretched due to the size of the team and the scale of the projects it is involved with. The site based team are presently based out of a separate premises which can result in reduced efficiency and some communication difficulties.
