Pros

Some of the residents were nice

Cons

There is no work-life balance. If someone calls out, you’re called in to cover and if you can’t, they make you feel really guilty about doing so. And you can’t even take your one week vacation when you want. You have to find coverage for it. If nobody is available, then you’re SOL and will have to take it when someone (or anyone) is available, which is unlikely. Also, expect to be called during your vacation if someone has a question and your manager is unavailable. I was also told at one point that if I am going to call out sick, I need to find my own coverage or else I need to come in (illegal, btw). There’s a huge disconnect between those who work on-site and those who work in the main office. Concierges are basically treated as disposable. Your job role is called “concierge,” but you will be doing half the job of a property manager. But of course, you’ll be paid as a “concierge,” aka just above minimum wage.

Pros

Awesome connections with some residents

Cons

Bad connection with residents who treat people like they work for them and not the management company. Company will never side with you when it comes to a resident even if they pull you aside and confirm you may have been right.
