The corporate benefits package is competitive, and you get the opportunity to work with a very diverse, global workforce across multiple engineering and facility management sectors. The immediate HR team is generally supportive and tries to help you navigate the complex internal compliance protocols.
Cons
The department is severely bogged down by manual data entry and fragmented HRIS platforms. Because of the large mechanical contractor workforce, you spend the majority of your time tracking down timesheets, chasing payroll discrepancies, and putting out basic employee relations fires rather than focusing on actual talent development. The daily workload is immense, highly reactive, and unevenly distributed across the team.
