Pros

Small company with a decent product. Selling a productivity tool to the engineering environment which is nice. There are some smart, forward thinking people in product & content. Product shows well.

Cons

This company has no integrity. Comp plans change yearly and sometimes more. The product is a nice to have not a need to have, not an easy sell. Very high turnover in sales, less than 2 years.

Pros

Great people, teamwork, very customer focused, great software solutions & products, great internal customer marketing to support customer success and customer experience treatment, free ongoing training to help with customer success (and customer retention and renewals, etc.)

Cons

Company was acquired, small company merged into a small part of a very large company, lost it's culture and identity, customer focus, etc., very different structure and model from acquiring company, many original people left, many in acquiring company did not really understand what made original company so successful, and did not respect or value those aspects or continue with them.

Pros

Knovel has a really strong niche position in the engineering information market, with a strong a loyal customer base. Over the past few years they have done a tremendous job of transforming their UI and engaging users.

Cons

Sr Management expectations are often out of line with reality and their communication style can be disfunctional. A lot of politics present at the Senior Management level, with a lot of CYA and throwing others under the bus.
