Pros
I have worked for some companies and government offices in the past, where people work hard the first couple years, then coast, making the new employees do all the work. This prevented me from any possibility of growth in that company, so I left. I have now been with Koch over 10 years, in various roles and companies. I am constantly challenged to expand my capabilities, and provided tools and resources to grow both personally and professionally. I have found that I can make my own path here, whether straight up, moving to other Koch companies, or to other groups within the same Koch company.
Cons
Technology and the world are quickly changing. Sometimes, with a large company, bureaucracy can slow you down. Koch is working on becoming more nimble and innovative, but some companies are still behind and slow to change. Hopefully in the near future this will change even more, but it can still be frustrating sometimes when you try to drive a change that will be good for the company, but you cannot get there.
