Pros
* Great opportunity to get experience in Fintech from a data perspective. * The Kroll Chief Data Officer is the only leader in the entire company that I have seen with a plan that goes longer than 3-months.
Cons
* Managers take credit for all of the technical work completed. * Some managers are not as technical as they should be. There have been several with 0 technical experience, which seems like a major miss. Honestly, how can you lead if you have no experience in the field that you are leading in? This is embarrassing. * I can name several managers who can't even tell me what an API or ETL Pipeline is; Let alone, write a single line of SQL code. It's incredibly frustrating when you really can't learn anything from a leader, and then they act like they know how to do your job better than you. * 0 Transparency over 2022, year. So many practitioners are on edge and many are looking for work elsewhere. * More keen on hiring an external consultant firm to tell them what to do than listen to their own people, who actually know the company. * Too much drama in between digital services and the IT side of the firm, with too many Managing Directors in Digital Services collecting checks than actual work getting done. * 0 long-term, meaningful projects. Leaders just want quick wins every quarter months. The CTO of digital services is a great example.
