Pros
If you are a older gamer like me then there isn't many places where you would get a chance to work in the industry and get an opportunity to do what you love. I gave up a career in construction because I disliked it and applied on the off chance I'd get to do something I loved doing in my spare time (what little of it I had) and I have not looked back. Workplace atmosphere is fantastic, when everyone you work with is just as passionate about you interests as you are then there is always something to chat and have a laugh about. It's laid back and relaxed, throughout the day you can hear people chatting about all sorts and laughing as they work. Management is friendly and approachable and most importantly honest. If you are struggling with any aspect of the job (sometimes even personal life) you can talk to someone and get help or advice with whatever ales you. I don't regret my choice to do a massive swerve in career one bit and am hoping for and looking forward to a long career in the industry.
Cons
Zero hour contract is the only real con but in this industry it's completely understandable. The company simply wouldn't exist if they offered everyone a contract. ..But if you put in the effort, do the job to the best of your ability and work hard you will be the top of the list to be called in. There have been very few times when I've not been called in.
