Pros

Work experience for new workers in the working field Hands on experiencing with a work environment Experience with young children, can be beneficial for people seeking to become a teacher

Cons

A few children were abit too young to be admitted into the institution, others should not have at all. There were 3-5 year olds admitted that created a challenging learning environment for other learners. Before putting in my two weeks, a learner with cerebral palsy came in and somehow was accepted. Most Kumon teachers/tutors are highschool students with no prior work experience; I think a kid like that should be admitted to special education, with teachers who are trained for children that have special needs, NOT Kumon. So how their application got accepted is beyond me. I was getting paid 9.25$ expecting a well established learning institution to fit their reputation, but was disappointed by the occasional daycare activities, being chasing a 3 year-old around that is having a meltdown while others are completing their classwork.

Pros

Contributing to an educational environment, work didn't require any prior experience.

Cons

Management consistently took in more kids than the employees had capacity for, which lead to a lot of crunch for what should have been a straightforward task. The amount of work we were required to do did not scale with the $8 an hour I was receiving.
