Pros

When you work the overnight shift, you get an additional $2 per hour. You're never short on hours, especially if you need them, because every shift (on average) is 8 hours long.

Cons

Boss can be hit or miss, but how your boss treats the third shift crew will affect how high your stress levels are. If your boss does everything they can to make sure third shift isn't left with doing all the work the other shifts didn't get to: great! But if your boss undermines how busy third shift can get (which can be very busy if it's just you and one other person) and tacks on several additional tasks for you to do on top of the other long list of things you need to get done, your stress levels go through the roof. The training can also be abysmal. It took me almost a month to learn how to get trained in the kitchen, and even then, I more-or-less had to go into the kitchen blind for that because it was just me and a NEW person on the floor. Very stressful, and very infuriating.
