Pros

There is an HSA option, 401K, upward mobility, we service most of the continental US, so if one wanted to relocate and stay with the company that is a viable option. the work environment is familial. It is a safe space. The training is fairly easy going. Average training is about a week but can be done at self- pace. This place definitely strives to put people, first.

Cons

We service all of Southeast Michigan, sometimes it is hard to find staff willing to do such a strenuous commute. As the care coordinator, it is best practice to try to keep the commute as short as possible, and make sure all of the patients are seen. Not being well known because of our transition from Brookdale to Caretenders. Brand recognition isn't what it use to be. we need consistent, reliable clinicians.

Pros

LHC group is a good company to work for. They offered training and support from management. I would say a solid company culture from my experience. I felt supported and checked on by my team.

Cons

Cons depend on the agency you work for. I had a good experience with my location and team.

Pros

Autonomy, days go by quick, expectations are defined.

Cons

Unmanageable workload/cases. Expected to fulfill number of points per week. Charting beyond business hours every day. Start of care visits also included hands on care. One visit took 3 hours because of 8 wounds and that didn’t include documentation. Oasis is tedious and comprehensive. Territory was supposed to be 10 minutes from home; it was not. Sometimes 45 minutes between each case with 5-6 cases for the day. Totally unmanageable for a seasoned and organized nurse. I cannot imagine how it would be for a less experienced nurse. Overworked and overwhelmed my entire time. I learned a lot from training modules but then you’re out on your own to troubleshoot. Unless you’re willing to hustle every single day and are willing to chart during dinner time and then still take time to confirm next day’s appointments, stay away.
