COUNT YOUR WORK HOURS. Coming in early might seem like the right thing to do to help push your team forward until you realize too late that those hours have been cut unpaid behind your back. The company is going through transitional changes and the kitchen is no longer run by its chef; the whole is run by the front of house manager. Other changes may include full-day shifts, starting to charge kitchen staff meals and regulating smoke breaks.
