      Good but some issues as they grow - Manager La Fosse Employee Review

      Pros

      La Fosse is known for it's culture, the people are very friendly, everyone helps each other, and there is a real, genuine team spirit in the firm. You are surrounded by talented, knowledgeable people. The company is doing well, they are award-winning recruiters. You can be very entrepreneurial in La Fosse, if you have an idea and pitch it, upper exec board will take everything on board Hybrid working as standard, there is a stocked kitchen daily in the office Ski trip annually if you are into that kind of thing, it's subsidised by the firm. Flexible when kids are sick, when bad things happen in life, very supportive org. Good sick pay, 10 days fully paid. Pension is basic. Good overall benefits package. There are events throughout the year, all very well organised and fun.

      Cons

      Processes are very manual, lack of automation. Salary low for London There is a sense of presenteeism in the business. Con if you are introverted... need to be happy presenting, jumping up at the company meeting and speaking to large groups. If you are an admin type role, you would probably not choose to do that kind of thing unless necessary. Everyone regardless of their role is working 8:30am until 6pm apart from Fridays with some flex if you have a family or other care commitments My personal issue was around the role I had and lack of growth in it, they are very focused on sales and lead gen, recruiters are promoted and can earn a lot however other roles in the firm stagnate. I had no upwards trajectory and hit a ceiling limit.

      Pros

      Really supportive culture - if you have an idea for something internally or want to change directions within the company they'll support you to do so. Worth noting that they're really supportive outside of work too if ever people are having personal difficulties. Culture is big on the agenda, but comes down to rewarding people for their work, supporting ambition, and generally being a nice place to work with nice people. Just got back from our company ski trip where they sent 130 of us to the slopes for a couple of days which was a great chance to bond with people from other teams etc. which always gets a bit harder as the company grows. The role can be hard at times - it's recruitment after all, but the commission scheme rewards good work, and the company recognises those going through trickier times and will offer additional training and support where they can - but asks for a good work ethic in return. Fantastic management at the top - really clued in to the business, and really open. The MD sits on the floor in an open-desk environment and will genuinely make the time for you and listen if you need it.

      Cons

      Company grew really quickly last year and with that there will always be changes which people need to adapt to. Having said that, all teething problems are are always addressed and rectified.
