3 years ago La Fosse was a very different place. It was vibrant, it was warm and it had a great energy about it. It was a time where most people’s tenures were at least 2/3 years or more because there was genuinely something worth staying for, a sense that this company really was different to all the rest.
However, over the last couple of years La Fosse has severely deteriorated into a cold, soulless machine - intent only on automation wherever possible with little to no change management, ‘streamlining’ the operations function in the form of multiple redundancies, and ultimately making sure leadership get to cash their cheques once the much talked about future ‘exit’ or sale of the company takes place. An exit which will primarily financially benefit the few at the top, and absolutely does not incentivize the many - yet this is hailed as one of the best reasons to join, and stay at La Fosse.
Attrition is incredibly high, and while I recognize that the recruitment industry normally has a relatively high turnover overall, the reason why this is so important to mention here is because this never used to be the case. Many talented people, both in Sales and in Operations, have gladly left to pursue other opportunities because they realized that the grass is, in fact, greener literally anywhere else.
Money gets thrown at certain projects that do not get researched properly, causing massive headaches to all involved or simply just dissolving into a problem that no one wants to take accountability for.
They talk about saving money and yet blow hundreds of thousands on a lackluster rebrand, without first trying to fix the internal problems that are constantly lurking under the surface. This is one of the many examples of putting a plaster over a gaping wound and saying that it’s a miracle cure.
Many decisions from the leadership team also seem to be slapdash and lacking any clear direction, with plans changing at the last second leaving everyone else scrambling to keep up.
My advice to anyone considering La Fosse as a potential employer, is to really decide if you want to work for company that lacks any true depth or care for its employees. Decide if you want to join a company where the sickly sweet messages of community are shoved down your throat whilst your friends and colleagues one by one keep dropping like flies.
Decide if you want to be part of a company that pretends to stand out as different, progressive, innovative but in reality just views their employees as worker bees, unimportant, costly, and ultimately disposable.
The choice is yours.
