Pros

- Great coworkers - You feel like you’re part of a family at Lakeshore - Relatively good benefits

Cons

- Too many inconsistencies from team to team, which hinders cross-collaboration - Very difficult to grow your career at Lakeshore in most positions - Compensation is well below market value for many roles, but they will say it’s within industry standard - Overworked and underpaid in many roles…you will encounter many people who have done the same role for years without a promotion or clear career paths yet they will continue to take on more tasks and dip their hands in other areas that should technically be a pay grade or role above them - Having worked on various teams and with many different people at Lakeshore, your experience will vary completely based on who your boss and immediate team members are - Lakeshore seems to have lost their way a bit since bringing in outside influences to their business - I was part of the first round of layoffs and it seems like they keep letting more people go…people are worried for their jobs - When layoffs did start happening, people were offered roles completely different than what they were actually doing, and it felt like the company was trying to save face to say they didn’t lay people off, but rather tried to get them other roles within the company instead…which really doesn’t add up because the positions being offered were irrelevant to the skillset and seniority employees had - Annual employee surveys don’t seem to be taken as seriously as they should - The reevaluation of job title tiers versus compensation was completely off-point for a number of positions within the company, which now I’m thinking may have been foreshadowing all of the layoffs to follow. The most recent role I held at the company was not rated at the tier it should have been after that companywide study.
