Pros
I had a positive interview experience with Laminar / Shape Projects. The entire process was clear from the beginning I was told how many stages there would be, what each would focus on, and the timelines were communicated and stuck to. I was asked to put together a short presentation, which is a fair way to show how I think and approach problems, rather than just answering abstract questions.
What I appreciated most was how conversational it felt. Everyone I spoke with was open, honest, and interested in making sure it was a good fit on both sides. It was more of a discussion with people who care about what they’re building. The team asked thoughtful questions, but also gave me space to ask my own.
Now that I’m working here the experience has matched what I saw in the interviews. The employees I'm surrounded with are sharp, supportive, and mission-driven. Things move quickly but you’re trusted to take ownership and help shape how things evolve.
Cons
Like any fast-growing company, things are still evolving. Processes aren’t always fully defined and priorities can shift but that also means there’s plenty of room to contribute and shape how things are done.
