Pros
Shifts were assigned by voluntary show of availability which is very convenient for students that need to juggle academic work and classes. You can sign up for more shifts if you need and have the time for them!
Cons
Not quite a con, but if you are successfully assigned a shift you applied for this time, the next time they try to prioritise giving it to people that have not been assigned one if more students than what they need sign up for that shift. Also the timecards a little tedious to fill out when you have not done any shifts that week as you have to submit them weekly even when you didn't work that week.
