Pros
Meeting new clients, working outside
Cons
Company does not honour their initial pay structure aggreement, it changes every week, less and less base pay, till their is no longer any base pay, only commission on products that are extremely over priced, and rises every week, making a hard sell even harder. must be available to work m-f 10 am to 8pm and sat 10am to 4pm, and can not have a few hours off for family or personal needs. If you request a couple hours off for my sons graduation, I was dock a days pay, even though I asked 3 weeks in advance. When hired they promise the world only to find out that they do not keep their word, such as you are promised that you will be given your appointments in your local area to where u live... you find out quickly that local does not mean local, it usually means a 2 hour drive to your appointments, and waiting 6 hours till you have your second appointment in the same area , or even an hour from that location, than driving home at least 2 hours away. Most appointments are poor leads, customers forget that they even talked to the telemarker. We are not to present the product to a client were both the husband and or wife are not present, there for you have driven 2 hours and can not present and have to wait hours for your next appointment hoping that the client will be home and both parties will be there. Aot of waisted time, gas, mileage, and frustration for very little pay (that you have to fight for weekly)
