Pros
You are able to work with other SLPs whether it be at your building, in your area, or over electronic communications. The company encourages employees to reach out and use each other as support. The company holds monthly meetings to discuss current topics and general topics to support clinical fellows pursuing their state licensure. FEES is possible for some buildings.
Cons
Depending on where your building is located there is not always the best support or supervision. The company does not always seem up to date on EBP or the latest research. Trying to schedule a FEES with the company is difficult because there is only one employee who is able to come out and complete the assessment. There are very few PTO days and limited time off for holidays. If you are looking for work life balance this position might not be the best fit. The health insurance could be better as well. Overall I felt that in the future there would not be enough opportunities or support to grow in my skills or continuing education.
