Pros
-Top-notch lower and middle management. Great team leadership fostered rapid career and personal growth. I always had the trust and support I needed to grow and learn, but never felt micromanaged. -Relatively small company means lots of opportunities to wear different hats. Great for people early in their careers. -HR seems to really care about improving the working environment for employees. For example: PTO was nearly doubled for newcomers since I started; employees were allowed to participate in the BLM protests without taking PTO; and the company wisely adopted a full-remote work option. -New headquarters office is beautiful for those that want to be in-person. -The happiest work-years of my life were with Laserfiche.
Cons
-Upper management lacks vision, transparency, and leadership, so departments are siloed and not marching towards the same goals. Overly scripted quarterly all-hands meetings provide little more than proof that upper management is totally disconnected from the employees. -Compensation was well below market rate for years, causing an exodus of junior and senior talent. The company recently started to correct this, so may no longer be an issue. (If you're applying to work here, know your worth, and do not accept a below-market offer.) -Aforementioned exodus meant that teams either were not meeting goals (delayed projects/releases), or they were overworked and ended up burning out. The latter was a big problem in my team/department that led to a cultural decline. -The company feels pretty stagnant. No fresh ideas and minimal growth.
