Pros
- Strong senior and executive leadership team
- Great team culture
- Future looks bright for Later: acquisitions, company growth, profitability, all in the right direction
- Good place to grow your skillset and career
Later has been through a lot of change over the past few years, it’s now a combination of three companies — and that’s exactly what makes this an exciting time to be here. As a legacy Later user, I joined because I was watching the leadership team come together like the Avengers and was curious about what they were building. That lead to some exciting conversations and eventually applying for a job.
Yes, the workload can be high at times (it is a high-growth company). Yes, there has been turnover. But, what leadership told me they were building during the interview process hasn’t changed, and as we continue to share progress in our quarterly all team meetings, the company is executing on what was promised.
The best parts of Later are:
The company is building something truly best-in-class. You’re not just working to work...the impact is real and visible.
The people. The team is made up of experts in their craft, all moving in the same direction (which is rare), with great personalities and the right balance of fun and getting things done. I believe if you asked most employees here, they’d say the same.
The career opportunity - there is a culture of "succeed at your role and then you can grab more"... I've seen people take advantage of this to move up or gain new experience.
Cons
- Workload can be heavy as the company grows
- Stress comes along with that workload
- The team is building, so some processes are being built vs polished and perfect
