There is a lot of disorganization. Some of it is due to being a smaller and younger company, but some is also due to leadership. There are a lot of initiatives going on and I think they could be more cohesive. It often feels like we are all working toward something different. There has been a big shift in culture since Dan joined as CEO. A lot of it is welcome changes that we have needed for a long time. Other parts are not as welcome - there seems to be more of a mindset that revenue is all that matters. Many employees have gotten screwed over either by being laid off or just having their teams pushed to the margins while others play a bigger role in the new strategy. Everything is driven by marketing. Some might not see this as a bad thing, but for a developer focused product I feel that engineering and other technical teams should at least be consulted for major campaigns. There have been a few times when specific wording was not technically accurate, and this could easily be avoided by working together. The comp system is pretty opaque and it is hard to get straight answers. They adjust salary bands based on the market, so people can find themselves in situations where they were up for a raise, then the bands get changed so they're outside the top range and will never get paid more. This actively incentivizes people to leave because they're losing money by staying. The workload is becoming ridiculous and unmanageable. People keep leaving, and leadership expects the same output (or more). This in turn leads to low morale because it's hard to be proud of work that you know you had to rush.
