Pros
Coming from a long string of high-level corporate jobs to work in a company that’s relatively young, I honestly expected to walk into a classic startup mess but admit that I couldn’t possibly be more wrong.
Onboarding was impeccable, coworkers combine rock stars-material and professionalism, but most of all its growth structure is skillfully well-oiled and organized beyond imagination (a requirement IMO anyways).
Staff’s commitment to the mission, delivering on tasks assigned, and management overall a rare symphony of efficiency. Truth be told, it’s hard to imagine they’d literally just gone through hell…
No need to look particularly far to figure out why that is, the mystery is easily solved here as the CEO (Aziza) is undoubtedly one in a billion. I’ve learned more from her in the past few months than I had in the fast few years.
An inspiring person for sure, brilliant, humble, transparent in everything she does, obsessed with execution, catalyzes her team … a rare “iron fist in a velvet glove” CEO-type that turns startups into sustainable businesses.
Cons
Startup life looks glamorous on the outside, but brutal
on the inside. Particularly here, as feedbacks -while always constructive- are
never sugarcoated.
So, I wouldn’t set foot in here if you’re not prepared to put your ego aside along with everything you think you know. And learn, learn, learn every day. You’ll be chasing a high-speed train... impact startups wait for nobody.
