Legion Logistics Response
9y(Response written by Lacy Starling, President of Legion Logistics.) I am really sorry that this poster felt that nothing about Legion was good in the time they worked here. That is disappointing, for sure. But I'd like to address some of their specific allegations.
First, Legion is not unstable. We've been in business seven years, in the same industry, in the same location, growing. That's the opposite of unstable.
Second, termination is based on a series of escalating reviews and incident reports that follow a path from a verbal coaching to a final written warning. The only exceptions are incidents that are so egregious they result in immediate termination, such as threatening another employee or sexual harassment. That would be the case anywhere.
Third, we all discuss our personal lives. We have kids, we talk about our weekends, we discuss holiday and vacation plans. I feel that is pretty normal in a business setting. Some people are definitely weirded out because we have family members who work here together, and because my business partner and I used to be married, but I always say that it's only weird if you make it weird. People might also not be used to having the level of interaction with ownership that they do here, since we sit with them instead of in offices and are made human, rather than being nameless, faceless decision-makers in corner offices. That's just life in a small business. We all know each other and about each other. If that's uncomfortable, a bigger workplace with more employees and hierarchy is probably a better fit.
And finally, we aren't going to stop. We're going to keep working, just like we have for the past seven years, to make Legion the best company it can be. That's all we've ever wanted to do.
