Pros

I've worked at a handful of other real estate firms as an agent, Level Group is by far the best experience I had. I spent the lion share of my 5 year real estate career at this firm. Most people in the management are friendly and down to earth. I really appreciate the fact that there weren't any mandatory company wide meetings. This is a great place to work if your able to take on the responsibility of being truly independent, or to start your own team,

Cons

I work on a team while I was there and when I felt I was ready to leave to work independently from the team upper management held favoritism toward my previous team leaders and tried to make me split my commission with them for a half year.

Cons

Pros

100% "Split". I think this info is current: On deals under $1.5M you give the company JUST $1,000 of your commission. On deals over $1.5M you give the company JUST $2,000 of your commission. On rentals, anywhere from $200 to $800 depending on rental amount. This is amazing! When I sold a townhouse in DUMBO, Brooklyn, I made over $90,000. (I was at Elliman before and there my commission would've been less than $45,000). You are the one who does all the work, so keep all the money! (or virtually most of it!) Ability to completely work at home and never go into office unless it's to submit deal, make copies, pickup check, mail. You can go and use the office, the scanner, the copier, the staff, ask questions-- they're always there for you-- but I like working at home and working. Again, when at a big company, I had weekly meetings which in my opinion consisted of how to push their brand and took up time I could be making money! No dress code, but dress neat, clean, and professionally, of course-- our appearance is our business. No minimum sales or "you're out". Want to work a lot? A little? Up to you. THE BEST MANAGER EVER! Michael Barbolla!!!!!!!!!!! Always answers questions in minutes.

Cons

Not really cons, as all really manageable. $99/month and have to join REBNY yearly ($400). Midtown-- I prefer Downtown myself. Not a "big" name like Corcoran or Elliman, but when clients save $ on reduced commissions, they don't need the big name and, as I said, they're hiring the agent in my opinion at least as much as the agency.
