Pros

Stepping stone opportunity out of exercise physiology. Possibility to leverage experience into clinical specialist role at a more established company, cardiac rehab management/medical device / SaaS

Cons

Very small company that has a core group of employees that have been there a very long time. They treat the product as a child and some feel personally attacked if you offer advice, product improvement or feedback from customers (despite asking for it in the first place). One size fits all management for customers. No clear direction of the company and/ or sales strategy. Constant challenge and discrepancy to balance territory orders and the standards of work that corporate office requires. YMMV based on territory Weak training and internal communication. The company strategy tends to over promise, under deliver, and then fix it on the back end or deal with it later. Support department has high churn.

Pros

There are talented people on the team, and the role itself has potential. The company operates in a niche industry with a growing market and each day is different which is a plus.

Cons

My experience was impacted by issues around compensation transparency. After submitting my resignation, I did not receive commission that had already been earned, which made it difficult to feel treated equitably. Attempts to resolve this were unsuccessful per leadership as there is no written policy on commission compensation allowing the company to withhold it after a resignation. Additionally, the overall culture felt challenging. Communication was often unclear, expectations were a moving target, and the environment felt more stressful than collaborative.
