Cons
Directors/middle management do not listen to their employees, only request feedback or communicate to tell you what needs to be changed to ensure their own continued employment. Directors make decisions without feedback or including staff. Very little continuing education opportunities - only middle managers are provided with opportunities for conferences, etc. The offers for nursing jobs with bonuses should warn off potential nurses - look at the number of available positions and turnover of staff positions even in departments where jobs are usually in high demand. Stop hiring consultants who come in with their own agenda and do not talk to the experienced people in the department, believing they have all the answers and do not require staff engagement. Left because of the poor leadership.
