Pros
- flex vacation
- benefits
- smart coworkers
- meaningful mission
My time with the company has been a roller coaster; thrilling, fun, stressful, rewarding. Working at a start-up is not for everyone, solving problems is all-hands-on-deck instead of just throwing money at the problem like a corporate giant would. That being said, the company has become more regimented and structured as they continue to grow. There are communication issues within the company that often take more meetings than necessary to resolve.
I work across a few departments here and it has been nice to see everyone quickly pitch in when issues do come up as opposed to pointing fingers right away.
If you're someone who is willing to put in extra time in order to move up quickly, then this is the place for you. If you prefer a traditional structure with more support, then you might be more comfortable at a larger company.
Cons
- long hours at times
- often high expectations from leadership team
