Pros

The workforce contains a ton of thoughtful, friendly, and interesting individuals. Many of them will push you to be the best version of yourself not through competition or threats but through an invitation to continue to meet them at their level. It's a major strength for the organization that most people lean into on a 1-1 level. The mission of the organization can still hold a lot of meaning as what is taught aligns with the values the organization expresses. When the organization allows itself to, the play and the joy that creeps into the work is a huge boon to the workforce.

Cons

Revenue headwinds remain a real challenge for the organization. This has resulted in a shift of focus to bottom line needs over employee health. Many positions have seen a lot of turnover, some voluntary and some involuntary suggesting a culture shift that people aren't bought in on and a future that isn't very well defined. While what got us here won't necessarily get us there, I'm not sure people are being aware of what is really getting left behind.

Pros

I've been at LifeLabs for several years, and I have loved the autonomy, commitment to values (not just words here), amazing people (smart and funny and kind - what more could you want?), and growth and learning opportunities I've found at LifeLabs. There's a lot of room for people to make stuff happen - and on the Sales team specifically, self-motivated, driven, and #AlwaysBeLearning-oriented folks are appreciated! I'm also excited about some of the recent investments we've made in bringing in tech that will help people do their jobs (Gong, outside sales training, etc.) While we have a lot of internal expertise, it's making it a lot easier for us to be effective when we can utilize best-in-class tech and learning!

Cons

Less of a con and just more two things to be aware of: 1) Change is a constant here. Even though LifeLabs has been around for more than 10 years, it operates as a startup in many ways. New systems and processes are coming often, so needing to do things the same way all the time doesn't really fly here. 2) Not every role at LifeLabs is designed to be a "lifetime role." The upside of a great culture is retention - people want to stay! The downside is that sometimes roles don't shift to continue responding to the evolving needs of individuals - LifeLabs is a place where you can be happy for years (like I have), but the two majority roles we have (sales and facilitation) don't see a ton of role evolution, so being willing to accept that is important to overall satisfaction.
