Pros
Its a large and leading operation with the heart of a mom and pop small business. This group makes you feel included and part of a team from day 1. They make sure to go over everything you need to know, and then some. The job is fast paced and the day goes quickly. You get to travel a lot. You get to see a different group everyday. If you have a hard time one day, the next day is a different school and a fresh start. Co-workers give great encouragement, bosses are the best I have experienced. There are other types of photo jobs you can be cross trained in. The company and upper management is always trying to find the best and easiest way to do things. You are provided with all equipment and supplies you need, and they are amazing at repairing and replacing as quickly as possible. Everyone goes above and beyond so that you can do your job. The hours are pretty much when schools are open, so you get holidays and weekends off typically.
Cons
the good thing is its not a commission job, but the hourly pay is average, however the company does pay for drive time, which is very generous, mileage and gas. You do have to travel in all weather, and some schools have no AC, so buy water proof boots and bring a fan. Some days are so busy you may not get a break, so you'll definitely need snacks to keep going.
