Pros
Professional team, with great people culture. Lots of autonomy and opportunity to learn new things. Not much middle management so there's room to make an impact as an individual contributor. Distributed workforce with occasional in person events. Not meeting heavy. Experienced C Suite and many long term ICs. You'll be working with people who know their stuff, and you can trust they will get their job done. In my time with Lighter, I watched it grow from less than ten people to fifty plus and mature into becoming the leading RBF firm in the country. I'm incredibly proud of the work we did and the work they are continuing to do. The team is smart, dedicated, and they really care about the work that they do.
Cons
Small teams mean you wear a lot of hats. No clear career paths to speak of. Distributed team and meeting light culture mean sometimes communication is tricky.
