Pros
People are very nice and knowledgeable, genuinely happy to help and very client-focused. It's great to work in an environment where people care about the client experience and about the welfare of employees. It's generally a good company to work for thanks to its amazing team, but not the best for career satisfaction and long term progress.
Cons
The company is very hierarchical, there is too much micro managing, project managers being directed to do things and not being given full project responsibility, project managers are left out of crucial project and client calls, which leads to a lot of wasted time and more internal calls. Unlike other firms, it does not feel that project managers are trusted to perform their roles and to be challenged. There is a general misconception that LH has better ways of doing things compared to other firms, however I think this is because LH has great and knowledgeable employees rather than LH having great tools/workflows. It feels like LH is lagging behind on tools, workflows and there is little reporting automation. A lot of workflows feel very inefficient and the ticketing system is very outdated. Overall, Lighthouse is not the ideal place to make career progress or to learn new things but the people make it a nice place to work in.
