-Log your hours. "it's not for (insert any xyz), it's for monetization"... but hey *cough *cough .... I know you were sick .... but why did you only work 38 hours last week ?
-If you're in Phoenix, consider yourself HARD NOT Seattle. That's just the macro culture. Upper Lighthouse rates, Lower Lighthouse ... well it could be worse.
-Phoenix office leadership exemplifies derision and ego, not much honor to be found. Lot's of friendliness, not much honor.
-Management for the sake of management. Anyone can hire for management role, anyone. Knew of a technical software dev manager who didn't know how to use "J-I-T-H-U-B" or what a SQL Join was even though clearly labeled on resume (or that it's Github)... Regularly insisted on quick maths like "31-10 = 18" and would become defensive if you corrected them. Yet was defended by local Phoenix leaders as 'a good hire' even though every single lighthouse employee at the holiday party could not believe they were given the job.
-The new office, just sucks. No amount of plastic plants, garbage coffee, and snack machines can fix that suckness. (but you are currently free from that burden). Have fun trying to block that future noise out with your $6 headset.
