Pros
Salary is the only good thing that I can think of that's keeping me at this company.....
Cons
Engineering is not sized to support sales force. Engineering leadership is disconnected from day to day operations. Engineers have no yearly goal objectives. Roles with-in engineering lack clarity and overlap with other departments. Senior leadership is lead to believe, or choose to ignore issues with turning up new services - requires brute force each time to turn up an order. Only concerned with the monthly sales and revenue numbers. Lifeblood systems used to maintain inventory and service order delivery (CRM) is misaligned and flawed, consumes an enormous amount of amount of time each day. A layer 1 company, struggling to become a "big fish" as well as becoming a layer 2/3 company. Polar opposite to a Tier I Telco with too many processes, Lightower has too few processes. Integration issues between legacy systems and processes create in-efficiencies. Observed a limited effort to unify all staff. Limited training, after being told by hiring manager that it was encouraged Poor synergies between functional departments Poor moral - Engineering staff is burning out. Lack of team effort, lost opportunities to get functional areas on the same page, this should come from senior leadership Growing pains as the company tries to scale. Sometimes it's not clear who's making a decision.
