Pros
Manager and team are good
Cons
Adding my perspective because what’s happening here deserves to be called out. There is an obvious, coordinated effort by upper management to flood Glassdoor with positive reviews after leadership publicly acknowledged the negative ones in a company wide meeting. Instead of addressing the real problems, they chose to manufacture praise. Some of the recent “glowing” reviews are laughable. A senior executive (CMO) posting a review, along with suspiciously upbeat entries from low level positions, only reinforces how little credibility leadership has. It’s embarrassing and insulting to the people actually doing the work. The deeper issue is that leadership at Lightspeed is incapable of self-reflection. Feedback is not welcomed, it’s avoided or silenced. If asked now, everyone is afraid of the response. That’s why the culture is effectively dead. You will get fired if you can't pull off some of the unreal expectations the CEO has. The company lurches from one change to the next with no clear direction, while expectations continue to rise without the support, compensation, or stability to match. Ongoing issues include: Benefits that are well below industry standards HR that is unchecked, dismissive, and consistently ignores employee feedback Below market pay across roles A forced return to office, including for employees explicitly hired as remote Departments with no real voice in decisions that directly impact them A CEO focused on growth and personal payoff at the expense of employees and long-term health of the company If you’re considering working here, take the negative reviews seriously. They exist for a reason.
