Pros

Work perks: On-site massage therapist, breakroom, central location on the Country Club

Cons

If I could give Senior Management and Culture & Values zero* stars, that would be my rating. In my 3 years there, I saw and/or experienced HR and unit managers doing absolutely nothing to address verbally abusive account executives, employees harassing new co-workers, and 'open door policies' used as entrapment. People are leaving not only for the under-industry standard pay, but more so fleeing from the culturally poisonous work environment that thrives and is nurtured there. I met some of the best people there, but more prevalently, the exact opposite. I promise you, as a new employee, do not be surprised if, for the first 6-7 months, you walk down the hall and say "Hello" to someone, just to have them flat-out ignore you. The egos in that office are too much to contain in one building. A lot of them being mere 24-30 year olds brought up in the ultra-pretentious "Lockton University" as Account Managers. Warning: If you are going through the AAM program, everything is a test. New associates are taken out as a test to see who handles their alcohol under the pretense that it's a night to go out and let your hair down. Just so they can partake in their favorite activity- judging and reporting back to spread gossip. (I was not in the AAM program, but was on the receiving end of the gossip). Absolutely unprofessional behavior. Setting people up to fail is the company motto. More disappointingly, HR is there to protect the interests of the company, not the employee. There is not one person in that department you can trust to handle your issues discreetly or professionally. I say all of the above with the greatest appreciation for my time there as I met some of my greatest friends and supportive co-workers. But, if you aren't looking for a personal reality show of how and where the worst managers, high-school drama queens, and corporate leeches live and work- avoid, avoid, avoid. If the location and name tempt you enough to apply and become employed there, go in feet first and be prepared to swim with the sharks.

Pros

A true “team effort” environment. I think it really depends on who your team lead is and the dynamic of the group you work with. You will get a ton of experience fine tuning skills as they provide constant trainings and resources to learn. Decent pay when compared to competitor companies and great 401k plan. Plenty of company and marketing events. Hybrid work is great. Again to preface, who you work with can make or break the atmosphere, but everyone I’ve met has been extremely nice and willing to help. Opportunities to grow within the company.

Cons

Health benefits could be better. Company is really pushing new business and there can be a lot of work and last minute fires to put out that can feel daunting. There have been quite a few times I’ve worked late into the night to get things wrapped up. You need to self organize or things can easily fall through the cracks very quickly. A lot of meetings that can take up a majority of your day - leaving less time to get actual work done.
