Pros
This is a great place to work, people are given opportunities that play to their strengths. And people who are self starters and understand the culture do well. The CEO is in charge of a major player in the sector and has a lot of responsibilities, so of course he is interested in the goings on of his teams. He is not a bad guy, although some employees have thought so, he's just misunderstood. It's more that he wants to ensure everything is under control. Definitely, any negative feedback is frowned upon, but that is because employees are there to work within the constraints provided given many factors that have already been considered. Things like sales, profit margins, long term growth, etc. Some younger employees especially, fresh out of school tend to think they know everything so if management had to consider every single off the cuff idea or suggestion they would not have time to do anything else. In that sense it's not hard to fit it, just accept what the parameters are and work to the best of your ability and you'll do fine. You will thrive. But it's not for everyone, that is true.
Cons
In an attempt to reply to posts, there is some overreach. For example, looking at some of the replies to recent posts. In one instance it is written that facts are something that is valued in an attempt to discredit the poster's mention of development work done in Ukraine. But that response is intentionally misleading. Development work was done in Ukraine in the recent past and that was not mentioned. I think some people do look at some of these replies and see them as arrogant.
