Pros
Healthcare has a lot of opportunity for improvement - it can be a motivating problem space. Work/life balance is supported.
Cons
Working here is hard, but not in a good, intellectually stimulating way. It's just hard. You constantly have to convince leadership of things that should be basic knowledge for anyone who knows how to run a successful high-growth tech business. Things like: We should have a strategy. We should not say Yes to everything a client asks us to do. We should have an aspirational vision that motivates people. We should aspire to help patients. We shouldn't assume that what works for one client will work for the broader market. When Loyal was a small company, you could get away with throwing stuff at the wall and seeing what sticks. I think the company has grown past the competency of the leadership. If you want to be a "big company" - as they often say - you have to act like one.
