Pros
The research team is filled with brilliant individuals, very forward thinking. The research team is what makes them sticky in accounts, folks love the Schiavos & Mukunda’s of Lux. Also working with some incredible logos/ titles. The comp structure may also look compelling from the outside as they are willing to throw large base salaries in order to get headcount.
Cons
3 CEOs, countless director of sales, the turn over here is alarming. Extreme micromanagement on everything, which initially was helpful to have a strategic thought partner in deals but it turned into being lectured on how to organize your inbox, doing cold calls at 7am till 7pm and that still wasn’t enough. The motto is “it’s not about how bad you want it, it’s about how hard your willing to work” turns out even if you put in 200% that doesn’t mean anything to them. Typical sales cycle here is 4-6 months, which has lead to some quick turn over on the AE side.
Realistically the sales team hasn’t hit a quarterly number in over 5 years, that should speak volumes on the state of the business. They fired their whole BDR team, inbound leads are few and far between.
