Pros

The one and only PRO is the experience that an employee is able to gain in the telemedicine industry.

Cons

TOXIC Work Environment - I, along with many of co-workers (what is left of them anyway), come to work every day expecting the worst. That is not a pleasant work environment! And to go into Human Resources to discuss our concerns would only land us out the door during the next round of layoffs, if not sooner. - Please don't be fooled by the context of the VERY RECENT "POSITIVE" review on July 25th!! This most likely came at the direction of upper management in follow-up to the July 20th comment on the review posted on July 14th. The "commentor" on the July 14th review is trying to defend, or rather deflect from the issue of layoffs, the company's position as a "rapidly growing" organization. If this were true, why go through four (4) rounds of layoffs? If a company is "rapidly growing", this would normally indicate expansion and the need for additional employees, not laying off over 100+ tenured employees during the last 9 months. This last round, MDLIVE laid off employees that had upwards of 4+ years experience. How is ridding the company of those employees with "skills and talents" in the industry adjusting for growth and maturity? It seems as though they really just want to reduce salaries by getting rid of employees who are making, what upper management considers to be "high" salaries. This is laughable coming from the executive team who probably all make a minimum of $160k+. By laying off the experienced, qualified employees making the "high" salaries, it opens the door to hire in less experienced, or even non-experienced/non-qualified people at lesser money. Which is great for reducing costs, but the training that it will take to get the non-experience/non-qualified people up to speed will ultimately cost the company more money down the road. It almost seems as though the Board is trying to right-size their numbers in preparation for a bigger move with the company. Even our "Interim CFO" has jumped ship recently, which can't be a good sign. There are no more funding options for us as the company squandered the monies we had already received from past funding rounds.
