No good communication between office locations

Individual engineers are extremely talented and great to work with. Lower-level managers really care about their teams but are often prevented from making lasting, positive change by upper management. A decent place to intern and receive an introduction to the MEP industry but career growth beyond that will quickly enter into stagnation.

A poor workload-to-employee ratio leaves most engineers swamped with work. Profit-focused ownership takes on more projects than their teams can realistically handle, making ridiculous amounts of overtime the expected, not the exception. Requests for assistance are either ignored, poorly remedied, and in some cases met with aggression from upper management. Those who don’t leave are overworked, underpaid, and faced with a career path designed to keep them from encroaching on upper management’s “boy’s club”. Upper management has an inflated opinion of its own success, is wildly out of touch with their employees, and refuses to acknowledge the problems that have led to several mass exoduses in recent years. Salaries and benefits pale in comparison to other firms. Work/life balance and company culture are abominable.
