Pros

My employment at MaRo Direct has been nothing short of marvelous. From the loving and empathetic teammates who will stop at nothing to help you meet your goals, to the constantly-motivating administration who will put in countless hours to help you build - the family bond experienced is what made it so easy for myself to enjoy my work. Having to set goals for myself on both a daily and weekly basis has made me a very goal-oriented individual who is constantly seeking to better himself. I owe this growth to MaRo Direct. This is in view of the fact that good day or bad - the team at MaRo was there for me to help me better understand what was expected of me and often gave me pointers and tips on how to reach both their expectations, as well as my own. It has been an absolute pleasure getting to know my colleagues and myself - something I think another option wouldn't have offered me. I feel like my personal growth has been in direct correlation to my attendance and enthusiasm in the work place - proving that this wonderful company will only be more helpful to yourself, if you are willing to go above and beyond to reach your goals and manifest your vision into reality. I feel like MaRo hasn't given me a job to enjoy - rather a career path I am building with my team around me on a daily occurrence. I urge any highly motivated and strong-resolved individuals who are seeking to align themselves with a company positioned for growth - to apply to MaRo Direct TODAY. You won't regret a minute of it!

Pros

A job opportunity for those with little to no experience, or high school students looking for an allowance. Aside from the dishonest CEO, coworkers are friendly and supportive.

Cons

My background is a B2C and B2B sales manager. To attract talent, the management and administration at MaRo make bold promises which do not reflect the full nature of the job. When management is approached regarding job issues, management's reaction is to place blame on you. The job is a door-to-door marketing job selling charity to homeowners at minimum wage, with minor fluctuations based on performance. Work hours are 2pm-9:30pm During my application process the following true statements were made, with important information missing. Here's what they don't tell you until you start: Job ad - States $20 wage on Indeed, up to $21 on other job search engines. it's actually a minimum wage job with potential for small raises based on sales record. Commissioned sales jobs can pay much more in similar work conditions. Email - Stated non-sales job with no commissions. You're not "selling" since it's charity, although the process is identical to that of door-to-door sales. When asked if we will be interacting with businesses - management answered yes, we sell both to businesses and residents. In reality we are neither trained on approaching businesses nor are we encouraged to do so. Mentioned at interview that we will sit at tables speaking to clients - in reality, tabling events are rare to none. Stated opportunities for growth - Takes at minimum a few months to obtain promotion.
