Pros
Slow from Jan-May which was super nice.
Cons
When it got busy it got BUSY and you’re working alone your entire shift if you work night shift (manager never stayed past 3pm). On top of working alone your entire shift you have to do everything else in the building by yourself. When a guest has a problem (including gross things like clogged toilets) front desk had to take care of it cuz no one else is there. Manager says to call if anything happens but never answers the phone. Security of employees was never a big priority despite guests getting aggressive often. Laundry is always too much for night shift because the morning shift never does it (I always had 7+ buckets of laundry to do alone since morning never did their share). When it got super busy after May (we were sold out of rooms a lot during this) it became impossible to finish all my workload (inspecting rooms, laundry, cleaning, light maintenance for some reason, etc etc) along with my front desk duties (answering phone, checking in/out people, taking payment, etc) but was somehow always expected to do both every night. I think the worst thing they’ve ever made me do was I had to go into the wire room and fix a bunch of electrical stuff with NO experience by myself (and some random guy on the phone) and I was completely uncomfortable with that. Also there were only a 1-3 housekeepers (people kept quitting) so they were constantly overworked with the amount of rooms they had finish/hours they worked.
