Pros

MLG is a small-ish company in an interesting industry. There are a lot of opportunities for interesting travel, direct interaction with fans, and in general a decent work environment.

Cons

This is a cult of personality around the CEO, who unfortunately continues to run the company into the ground. They don't pay well at all (employees present for years were found to be making less than 18$/hour in the heart of manhattan), frequently offer to pay in stock options, which have repeatedly been diluted to the point of being worthless. Behind the scenes, the owners and the board are in it for themselves. There have been at least three rounds of layoffs in as many years. Beware.

Pros

Working at MLG is amazing. The people that are behind this company are not only bright individuals but truly have a passion for what MLG is about (which is not the same at many companies). Everyone brings a little something to the table and when that is combined you get an amazing company to work for and be a part of. The ability to go to live events, monday breakfasts and after hour gaming is just a small portion of the benefits to MLG. Lastly the leaders are not behind closed doors and out of sight. There is a very transparent feel here at MLG as every employee is up to date on what is going on in every department and upper management. To sum this up, MLG is just as great to work for as many of you would assume.

Cons

Communication with managers is not that great. Discussions get lost in never ending email chains, direct messages, ect. When things hit the fan rather than finding a solution people would rather point their fingers to blame. Of course this has gotten better since management themselves admit to this fault, but its still not perfect.
