Helping people share the passion and joy of their musical creations and talents with others. For this reason, the team at MakeMusic is equally passionate and joyful. Everyone, many of them musicians themselves, is supportive and caring and come together to create products for musicians to love.

Like any other company, it must make money to survive. The music software market is small and crowded with many participants and products. Remaining profitable can unfortunately lead to hard decisions about what products and which projects are most important. If something is not providing enough to the bottom line, then the cost of maintaining that piece cannot be reconciled and things have to give, products canceled, teams dissolved, and sometimes peoples' roles eliminated.
