Pros

Longstanding staff - Upon joining, the most notable positive was the number of staff that have built their careers at the organisation. Reaffirming Making the Leap is an environment that promotes the growth of its employees. Encouragement and career support - Two years on, I have benefited from mentorship and felt encouraged to bring forward my career aspirations, having them listened to and supported through career promotion. Thorough PDPs - my personal development plan consists of carefully thought out 6 and 12 month goals, and new skills and opportunities that I had expressed during my monthly 1 to 1 meetings. Healthy work life balance- The hybrid working model, with two days working from home has lessened the stress of commuting. Outside of working obligations, there is a staff benefits package, a generous pension scheme and mental wellbeing check ins. Each has promoted a positive, healthy work life balance.

Cons

Hot desks- Limited office space as a small to medium sized charity, and the hybrid working means hot desking

Pros

My experience at MTL has been really positive - the team is friendly, collaborative and genuinely supportive, wanting to help one another out. There is also a real sense that people care about the impact their work has. Management create a trusting environment, allowing for autonomy while being there when you need guidance. MTL has been a wonderful place to build my experience, contribute to really meaningful work and work alongside people who love what they do.

Cons

Workloads can feel heavy at times due to faced paced environment and smaller team
