Pros

Good pay and employee benefits.

Cons

My experience working at Marinexmax Dania was quite challenging. The environment was high-stress, and the hours were unconventional, often starting as early as 6 a.m. The workplace atmosphere was generally negative, with many colleagues appearing in a bad mood, which contributed to a difficult work environment. The company relies on outdated software and procedures that frequently glitch and operate very slowly, leading to a hectic workday. The need to use multiple software programs that don’t communicate with each other results in unnecessarily long and complex processes. Additionally, the work culture exhibited instances of sexism, predominantly among older male staff members who often made insensitive comments, such as "this is not a fashion show." One of the managers frequently made sarcastic and mocking remarks during training, often making fun of others, which added to the discomfort. There is a significant learning curve, with a substantial amount of responsibility involving multiple boats, requiring extensive training and focus. The emotional toll became overwhelming, and I was brought to tears by how I was treated and how stressed I felt. Unfortunately, shortly after speaking up about my concerns, I was ultimately fired.
